Angolan ambassador is interested in possible co-operation between the National Audit Office of Lithuania and the Audit Office of Angola

In the meeting between the Auditor General Rasa Budbergytë and ambassador of the Republic of Angola Dr Domingos Culolo residing in Sweden possible co-operation between the National Audit Office of Lithuania and the Audit Office of Angola, as well as relations between the NAOL and the Parliament of the Republic of Lithuania and law enforcement bodies were discussed; principles of performance of the NAOL were presented as well.

Ms Budbergytë said that the NAOL constantly enhances co-operation  with  Parliamentary  Committees and Commissions in

order to help the Parliament in execution of Parliamentary control. There is an especially close partnership between the NAOL and the Committee on Audit, which is also the NAOL‘s strategic partner in the Parliament. “Active co-operation with Parliamentary Committees, and especially with Committee on Audit helps to ensure the proper consideration and implementation of the NAOL recommendations,“ the Auditor General told in the meeting.

According to the Angolan ambassador, the Supreme Audit Institution of Angola could take over best practice established in the NAOL, as well as experience accumulated in the fields of public audit and co-operation with other Government institutions. “I hope that the Auditor General of Angola will have opportunity to come to Lithuania, since meeting with you would be most beneficial to the Supreme Audit Institution of Angola,“ said Dr Culolo.
